Mission Statement
In the spirit of Service, Not Self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support The American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security. Vision Statement The vision of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support The American Legion while becoming the premier service organization and foundation of every community providing support for our veterans, our military, and their families by shaping a positive future in an atmosphere of fellowship, patriotism, peace and security. |

Charles A. Conklin Unit #28 Auxiliary Meetings
Auxiliary Unit 28 meets once a month, on the 4th Tuesday at 6:30 pm (no meeting in July or December). Members are encouraged to join us and meet active members, learn about our many programs, volunteer opportunities and our future plans.

Membership applications are available at the Post. New Senior (>19 years old) members dues are $50, Junior (<19 years old) members are $5.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL INFORMATION
2025/2026 DUES:
SENIOR $50 (age 19 and above)
JUNIOR $5 (Until age 19)
Membership cards are good from January 1st through December 31st each year. National Auxiliary sends out a renewal reminder in September via email or regular USPS mail depending on your profile.
If a membership is not renewed by January 1st, National Auxiliary sends out a notice by regular mail. (If your card expires, so do your Post privileges.) There are several ways you can renew:

- Stop in at the Post, see a bartender, fill out an envelope, pay dues (cash or check payable to American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28). Our local Membership Chair will mail your membership card to you.
- Mail a check (payable to American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28), along with your renewal slip mailed by National Auxiliary or a copy of your current membership card to our PO Box: American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28, PO Box 465, Grand Haven, MI ATTENTION: AUXILIARY MEMBERSHIP (Please be sure to include your current mailing address.) Our local Membership Chair will mail your membership card to you.
