(GENE ROTHI SCHOLARSHIP - 2026
Gene Rothi Scholarships 2026 Gene Rothi Scholarship applications may be requested by email from Garrett Veihl ([email protected]), or you can view and print the application by clicking on the "View and Print the Scholarship Form" button on this website page.  2026 high school graduating seniors who are descendants of Post 28 American Legionnaires (current or deceased) and will be incoming 2026 - 2027 college freshmen are encouraged to apply. All applications must be received at Post 28 on or before the third week of April! Awardees will be notified by mail in mid May.​ 
Applications may also be mailed to: Chair, Post 28 Gene Rothi Scholarship Committee, 700 S. Harbor Dr. Grand Haven, MI 49417

Application Requirements To be considered for an award:
  1. Complete application must be received at Post 28 on or before the Friday of the third week of April.
  2. Application entries must be legibly printed in blue or black  ink, include an official copy of applicant’s high school transcript, and be delivered or mailed to Post 28 in a sealed envelope marked, “AMERICAN LEGION GENE ROTHI SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE”
Scholarship award recipients will be announced in mid-to-late May. Upon notification of a scholarship recipient’s enrollment in a qualified school or institution, a check for the scholarship award will be sent to the institution’s financial aid office for deposit in the recipient’s account to help cover expenses, such as for tuition and room/board.
