GENE ROTHI SCHOLARSHIP - 2020
Gene Rothi Scholarships 2020 Gene Rothi Scholarship applications are available at Post 28 (see a bartender), or may be requested by email from jim.porenta@hotmail.com or you can view and print the application by clicking on the "View and Print the Scholarship Form" button on this website page.  2020 high school graduating seniors who are descendants of Post 28 American Legionnaires (current or deceased) and will be incoming 2020 - 2021 college freshmen are encouraged to apply. All applications must be received at Post 28 by April 17, 2020! Awardees will be notified by mail in mid May.​

Application Requirements To be considered for an award:

1. Complete application must be received at Post 28 on or before the Friday of the 3rd week in April.
2. Application entries must be legibly  printed in blue or black  ink, include an official copy of applicant’s high school transcript, and be delivered to Post 28 in a sealed envelope marked, “AMERICAN LEGION GENE ROTHI SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE”

Scholarship award recipients will be announced in mid-to-late May. Upon notification of a scholarship recipient’s enrollment in a qualified school or institution, a check for the scholarship award will be sent to the institution’s financial aid office for deposit in the recipient’s account to help cover expenses, such as for tuition and room/board.
